Good day, I am a composer/instrumentalist/educator in Southern Illinois. My early compositional experience was solely in film/video game scoring. My first official compositional work was in community college creating music for the dramatic productions of the theatre department. During this time I also contributed to the sound libraries for an Algerian audio visual production house called "Che to Chi Productions". During my time in community college I also got my first official credit for film scoring on a production called "Before, 'I Do'". I am not credited on the film's IMDB page, but I am credited in the end credits.During my time in graduate school I shifted my focus to more traditional music commissions while getting a degree in conducting. I composed a variety of instrumental works for live performances. This includes solo works that were premiered at senior recitals and a commissioned from the music publisher C. Alan to arrange a flex-band score of Dr. Kimberly Archer's "The Devil's Workshop". This is credited on windrep.org. Follow my graduate degree I began work as an instructor for music technology at Southwestern Illinois College. I teach classes on studio orientation, recording techniques, electronic composition, as well as more traditional music classes. Now that I've finished my academic studies(for now) and settled into a position as a music instructor, I've decided to venture once more in the world of film/video game scoring. I believe the experience would keep me honest and help me grow as an instructor. Though I am in Illinois, I can do nearly all audio related work remotely. I create all of my music in my own studio and record my own live instruments when needed. I would love the opportunity to work/help out in any way regarding audio and film. Please, reach out at any time for work inquiries or if you would like an audio consultant to bounce some questions off of. Wado, -Jefferson D. Gentry
