I am a director and cinematographer with over 23 years of experience in the business. I studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA where I graduated with a BFA in Film. My focus was screenwriting and directing. After school, I immediately began working as a PA in commercial productions, and then moved on to being a camera assistant on independent films and reality shows. After school, I was part of the Film Independent program known as Project Involve, and I was mentored by screenwriter Larry Karaszewski. Shortly after this mentorship, I spent a year as a television writing trainee as part of Fox Studios writer's boot camp. It was at this time that web content really took off. As I was working on my first feature film, "Psychopath," I met Producer/Editor Barry Poltermann. He invited me to work for his documentary collective, About Face Media, making short form documentary series for corporate clients. Once "Psychopath," was completed, my career really took off in the short form documentary arena. This lead me to several award winning shorts, the first of which was "Operation Allie." It was at this time that I started directed commercials for Purple Onion Films out of Milwaukee, WI. When I wasn't directing, I would often operate b-camera or second unit. Around 2018, I began working on the feature film series "The Pivotal Players," hosted by Bishop Robert Barron and produced for Word on Fire Ministries. I was second unit on four of his features, and also directed a 14 part series for Word on Fire from Rome, Italy. I'm currently directed a documentary about my brother, a Marine Corp veteran, and the work he is doing to honor the 17 men that his unit lost in Afghanistan in 2011. This will be my second feature documentary, and it is called "XVII Carvings."
