Michael is a proud member of the Navajo Nation and collaborates regularly with Diné C.A.R.E. a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the people and environment on Navajo land. He was born and raised in Southwest Colorado and received a BFA degree in film at The University of Colorado in '07.Mr. Goodman is adept at shooting single camera projects as well as commanding a full camera team. He skillfully performs DP duties in precarious conditions and is familiar with heavy travel and working on the road. A thoughtful temperament and earnest work ethic make him well suited for projects with sensitive subject matter and he is capable of guiding the story when producers are not available. The film American Relapse won the Grand Prize award for Best Feature Documentary at the Rhode Island Film Festival (RIFF) & 6 other festivals. The Deported won the International Humanitarian Grand Prize award at RIFF in 2019.
